This is the second version. My critic/editor thought it needed some tweaks. So, we have sound this year! Last year was supposed to have sound, but something was wrong with the previous version of Anime Studio. I thought this year’s animation was a lot easier to create with all the new features in Anime Studio. They just need to improve their audio tools. Anime Studio has certainly come a long ways since it was first released by Smith Micro. Not as much motion this year because I was trying to get it out on time, despite it being a day late anyway. Besides, I like cutout animation anyway. Maybe someday I’ll take full advantage of Anime Studio’s capabilities. I recently bought some tutorials that should help with that. Unfortunately, I have a bad knack for coming up with ideas at the last minute. Rarely do I ever have a couple of months to work on a project. Truthfully, for a minute there, I thought that I would have to break tradition and not release an animation this Christmas. The stampede sound is supposed to be all the pets running outside with Holly to watch the snow come down. Yes, that is a Thomas Kinkade painting. And in case you’re wondering, the background music is the 3rd track from Jingle Dogs “Waltz of The Snowflakes”. By the way, that is an actual article that I took a snapshot of about it hailing in Waimea, and not just on the mountain either. Merry Christmas to one and all…both furry and not!

Sick Updates
Hehe, no, I’m not using sick as a slang word, but literally. It seems now that the only time I have to work on my web sites is when I get sick. And guess what? I’m sick again! The last time I updated this web site I was sick. It’s not a tradition that I want to establish, but what can I do? My schedule has gotten busy with keeping up my business, staying involved in the community, and preparing to run for office (more about that at a later time). Now I know why most active community volunteers are retired…it’s because they have time! So I’ve spruced up the site a little adding the galleries of my cartoons and tracts. I’m still working on adding the captions to the cartoons. But with RSS feed now, you too can know immediately when I update the web site! Pretty cool, huh?

Broadband 4/21
We can now have Roadrunner installed without having to pay $900 for them to dig a ditch to our house from the pole! For some strange reason the power lines never went across our front property, connecting the poles on either side of us. The electric company is upgrading and replacing the poles and lines in our subdivision, so they decided to run the lines across our property. We were disappointed at first, because it ruins our pristine view of the Christmas berry trees across the street, but then it dawned on me that maybe Oceanic can run their cables across now, too! Sure enough, they checked, and we are now waiting for them to install broadband for free Thursday. We should have faster speeds that will allow me to really concentrate on posting some content to the site…
Update:
The installation was a success, and it’s the fastest service that we have ever owned to date!
Upload Speed: 1MegaBite
Download Speed: 5MegaBite, supposedly to double by the end of the year
Although after thinking about it, my speeds are closer to 2MegaBite upload and 10MegaBite download. Let’s just say that I haven’t had to be as patient when transferring files lately ;)
